Lady Indians’ Robinson earns weekly honors
After polling the public for over 24 hours, it was evident on the choice for BLITZ Softball Player of the Week. Of the 12,012 total votes, 5,177 went to Lumpkin County’s Natalie Robinson. The Lady Indians fans voted well, as evidenced by second-place vote-getter Emmie Graham (3,239). Banks County’s Tybee Denton (1,916) also earned a large chunk of votes.
Senior pitcher and first baseman Natalie Robinson has had a stellar career for Lumpkin County. In recent action, she has been tearing the cover off the ball. Her .438 average is even more impressive next to a .500 on base percentage. She has slugged 3 homeruns to go with 12 RBI and a double.
This is Robinson’s first career Player of the Week award.
