The #2-ranked Wildcats got a week to rest up and prepare for Stephens County in Week 4.

#2 UNION COUNTY PANTHERS

LAST RANKING: #2
WEEK 3: W 60-7 vs Towns County
NEXT: @ Fannin County

Union recorded back-to-back blowouts, and the starters were out before halftime of the Towns County game.

#3 DAWSON COUNTY TIGERS

LAST RANKING: #3
WEEK 3: Bye
NEXT: @ West Hall

The Tigers had a bye week to rest after a perfect 2-0 start, and now set their sights on West Hall.

#4 JEFFERSON DRAGONS

LAST RANKING: #5
WEEK 3: W 62-7 vs West Hall
NEXT: vs Southside

Jefferson got back on the winning track with a landslide win over West Hall in which seven different Dragons found the end zone.

#5 COMMERCE TIGERS

LAST RANKING: #4
WEEK 3: L 20-40 @ Hart County
NEXT: Bye

The #3-ranked Tigers had a tall task to go to #6-ranked Hart County. Commerce held a first quarter lead, and trailed by only one at the break. However, the Bulldogs pulled away with a big third quarter.

#6 HABERSHAM CENTRAL RAIDERS

LAST RANKING: #8
WEEK 3: W 42-28 vs White County
NEXT: @ Franklin County

Habersham Central rebounded with a huge win over White County. It didn’t escape without a little drama, of course. A third quarter by the Warriors included three 4th-down conversions, a 2-point conversion, three touchdowns, and two onside kicks that brought a 27-0 Raiders lead all the way down to 34-28. The Raiders slammed the door with a fourth quarter TD.

#7 WHITE COUNTY WARRIORS

LAST RANKING: #6
WEEK 3: L 28-42 @ Habersham Central
NEXT: vs Pickens County

White County nearly upset Habersham, but outside of the third quarter they were unable to find a consistent rhythm. It wasn’t for a lack of effort by J Ben Haynes, who put up 4 TDs in a gutsy showing.

#8 STEPHENS COUNTY INDIANS

NEXT: vs Rabun County

Stephens County has had the toughest schedule so far, facing #6 Hart, #2 Athens Academy…and look who waits on deck…#2 Rabun.

#9 BANKS COUNTY LEOPARDS

Banks County had a bye week to prep for East Jackson. While the defense has been tremendous, the offense greatly needs a boost.

#10 LUMPKIN COUNTY INDIANS

Lumpkin seeks its first win of the season, but its too early to tell how it stacks up against Gilmer. The Indians have some solid players, but also have guys who are getting their first taste of varsity action in 2019.
