Chism’s clinics through playoffs earns him third POW award

This marks the third time that Dawson County senior forward Luke Chism has earned Player of the Week honors, and this time it might be his most impressive.
LUKE CHISM

Luke Chism, the senior who recently eclipsed 2,000 career points (a very rare feat), has completely annihilated opposition throughout three state playoff games – all wins for the #2-ranked Tigers.

Chism didn’t have to play much in the first two rounds, both blowout wins over Ringgold and Westminster. In the win over Ringgold in the opening round, Chism notched 11 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.

He followed that up with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks against Westminster. He was more relied on during the quarterfinals win over Franklin County, in which he put on a show with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 4 assists in the dramatic win that led the Tigers to the Final Four for the first time in school history.
Chism is a BLITZ Player of the Year finalist and averages over 19 points per contest.
