We’ve seen this movie before. Habersham Central is off to a blistering 4-0 start despite the cold and rainy weather. One huge factor in the Raiders’ quick start is senior Colby Jones, who earns the first baseball Player of the Week award for 2019.

Colby Jones has been ridiculously good here in the first four games, hitting .444 (4-for-9) with 2 homers, 8 RBI, and 7 runs scored. His OBP is .538, as he also drew a pair of walks and a hit by pitch. His 2 doubles and 2 stolen bases round out his offensive stats.

On the mound, he pitched in the win over Stephens, throwing a perfect inning with two strikeouts. His offensive clinic in a 13-1 win over Rabun County included a Grand Slam homerun leading him to a 6-RBI day. He is slugging 1.333 on the young season.
