Former wrestling stars grappling at college level in 2018-19
We’ve had some outstanding wrestling talent come through North Georgia, and of those former stars, let’s take a look at those who now wrestle at the collegiate level.
Let’s take a look at the former stars (in alpha order by former high school). NOTE: If we missed someone, we are human, so please email us and we’ll be sure to add them in. We cross-checked with each college roster. If that player is on the roster, they’re on the list.
Owen Brown ’17 – Army West Point
A sophomore who went 29-15 last season; opened the 2018-19 season with a 4th place finish at the Princeton Open
Dalton Flint ’17 – Emmanuel College
Flint was 12-12 in his freshman year, and started his sophomore year 1-2 at the Hokie Open in Virginia last weekend.
Chase Forrester ’18 – Emmanuel College
Forrester made his collegiate debut recently and went 2-2 in the opening weekend.
Hailey Horton ’18 – Emmanuel College
Cade Ridley ’18 – King University
Ridley made his college debut at the Hokie Open and placed fourth (2-2). He was the only non-NCAA D-1 contender to place in the top four in the freshman/sophomore division across all weight classes. He was named Athlete of the Week following his performance.
Allen Haynes ’18 – Emmanuel College
Dawson Bates ’18 – Appalachian State University
Bates is set to make his debut at UNC Pembroke this upcoming weekend.
Caleb Little ’18 – Reinhardt University
Kayla Morano ’17 – Emmanuel College
Coy Strong ’18 – Campbell University
Greg Hilliard ’16 – Belmont Abbey
Kaylee Seabolt ’18 – Emmanuel College
Seabolt is 8-2 so far this season and placed 2nd a the Lady Lions Open at Emmanuel. She won recently at the Adrian Michigan Women’s Open as well, and both of her losses are to the same woman from Canada.

John Cory Garrison ’16 – Truett McConnell University
