The Commerce boys were crowned Area 4 Champions, while the girls finished fourth at the Area 4 1A Public qualifier at Greene County High School. The track and field teams totaled seven individual region titles as well.

For the boys, freshmen JJ Morris and Brandon Martin stole the show, finishing in that order in the 1600 meter run. In the 3200 meter, Martin took the region crown while Morris took second place.

Junior DeJuan Wood had a great showing with a runner-up finish in the 400 meter dash. The 4×400 relay also finished as region runner-up for the boys. In the long jump, sophomore Shannon Segars also finished second.

The boys owned the pole vault, as junior Tucker Flint took home the region title ahead of teammate, senior Greyson Burke. Senior Easley Smith won the discus region title and was third in shot put.

For the girls, it was Kate Massey, as usual, making a splash for Commerce. The senior long distance champion easily won the 1600 and 3200, with senior teammate Brittany Webb finishing as runner-up in the latter and third in the former.

Junior Skylar Arnston was the region champion in the pole vault.

In all, the Commerce girls scored a 79 to finish fourth, while the boys scored a 138 to take the top spot over Hancock Central (128).
