The Commerce boys were crowned Area 4 Champions, while the girls finished fourth at the Area 4 1A Public qualifier at Greene County High School. The track and field teams totaled seven individual region titles as well.
For the boys, freshmen JJ Morris and Brandon Martin stole the show, finishing in that order in the 1600 meter run. In the 3200 meter, Martin took the region crown while Morris took second place.
Junior DeJuan Wood had a great showing with a runner-up finish in the 400 meter dash. The 4×400 relay also finished as region runner-up for the boys. In the long jump, sophomore Shannon Segars also finished second.
