Both the Banks County boys and girls tennis teams swept past their first round opponents on Tuesday evening, giving both a spot in the Class 2A Sweet 16.
The Leopards, playing as the #2 seed from 8-AA, took down #3 seed Armuchee, edging them 3-2 on the home court.
The girls, also playing at home after winning the region 8-AA title and earning the #1 seed, took a quick 3-0 win over #4 Pepperell.
The Leopards advance to take on the winner of the #1 Washington vs #4 Callaway match. Ironically, the Lady Leopards also play the winner of #2 Washington vs #3 Callaway in their bracket. Callaway is out of region 5-AA, while Washington is in 6-AA.
