Commerce ace pitcher Michael Purvis has been very consistent this season. The junior went 1-0 with a flawless ERA of 0.00, striking out nine batters in six innings against no walks and just four hits. This is his first POW award.

ZEKE DOTSON – DAWSON COUNTY

Remember this name…Zeke Dotson had a blistering week for Dawson County, and he’s only a freshman. The rightfielder/pitcher batted .769 (that’s wild)! That included 10 hits in just three games. Of that damage, he had a homerun and nine RBI, three runs, and four doubles. On the bump, he struck out eight across four innings of work. This is his first BLITZ award.

REID GILES – RABUN COUNTY

Reid Giles gets it done on the diamond as well as the football field. The senior center fielder and pitcher for Rabun County hit .625 (five hits in three games). He had two RBI and five runs scored, registering a .769 OBP. On the mound, he took an extremely tough-luck loss, sporting a 1.16 ERA in six innings of work and throwing just 64 pitches. This is his eighth career POW award.
