Medal upon medal…Selah Wiltshire shines in the pool, and showed out at state. For her efforts, she earns BLITZ Swimmer of the Year honors.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Selah Wiltshire set a couple of school records this season, and at state she was Runner-Up in the 50 Free, 3rd in the 100 Free and 100 Breast, and was a HUGE part of the State Champion 200 Medley and 200 Free Relay teams.

VOTING RESULTS

Voting included our 17-person panel made up of sports reporters, writers, video producers, former coaches, players, GHSA officials, and sports experts. The voting is Heisman-style, with the following points system:
1st place votes: 5 pts; 2nd: 3 pts; 3rd: 2 pts; 4th: 1 pts; 5th-6th: 0.5 pts
7th-8th 0.25 pts

Teammates Wiltshire and Roser de Hoyos went 1-2 in the voting, securing a total of 14 1st-place tallies. Haley Hayes came up with three such votes.

  • 2020-21 – Katherine Law – Jefferson SR

The award is dominated by Tallulah Falls at this point. It’s still a young award, but Wiltshire is the third from TFS to take it.
