Year one wasn’t what a lot of people thought for Commerce. But a lot of people didn’t have perspective – a complete change in coaching staff, offensive scheme, and personnel (replacing just about every single starter). That said, there were growing pains to the tune of an 0-8 start before showing some promise with two wins to close out the year.
Now the Tigers have a roster that is brimming with young players that got valuable experience and now are a year better, stronger, and more acclimated. That starts at QB with Tate Kirk (886 yds, 9 TD). The WR room is one of the best in our area with Essien Lockleer and Ty Sorrells anchoring it (900+ yds, 11 TD combined). Jayce Lyle (767 yds, 8 TD) and Demarco Huff (398 yds, 4 TD) are back at RB, and defensive standouts Bronc Cash and Rivers West also return. A lot of promise surrounds year two under coach Lenny Gregory.

Commerce has announced its 2026 Schedule. We dissect the slate, going game-by-game with our way-too-early predictions for the regular season. The following insight depends heavily on the known – returning or departing players, incoming players we know of, etc. The unknown is the other side of the same coin – some unknown up-and-coming middle school talent, JV standouts, move-ins, etc.
