Stephens County enters year five under coach Rob Worsley, and this could be the best team he’s had yet. The Indians are hopeful they can be near the top of the region and advance to state.

PRESEASON INFO

2025 Record: 2-14; No Playoffs
Head Coach: Rob Worsley (5th Season)
Returning Starters: 6
Key Departures: Josiah Schell, Wesley Vickers, Doc Owens
Key Players: Pierre Kouadio, Ethan Green, Aiden McCollum, Mirac Parlar
Strengths: “We should be a pretty balanced team this year,” says Worsley. “Our backline is experienced with three seniors and a junior (all who have been starters for at least two seasons). In the midfield, we get back Pierre who will give us a distributing midfielder who can link up with Aiden up top but can also create goals for himself. Aiden is a pure goal-scorer and with the return of Pierre I expect that he will produce a lot of goals for us this season. We should be a tough defensive team this year that also has the potential to score goals. Not a combination we see very often at SCHS.”
Team Goals/Expectations: “Our team goal is to qualify for the state tournament and compete for the region championship. I think we have a realistic chance at second in the region and maybe first if the ball bounces right and Hebron has some struggles.”
