Habersham Central erased a second quarter deficit after a nice Stephens County (2-9) run, and the Raiders went on a massive run of their own while cruising to a 75-47 win at home Friday. Judge Wilbanks and Jake Mihalick combined for 59 points, and scored the first 40 points for the Raiders (7-2). It was midway through the third before a different player scored for Hab Central.

The Indians held a 16-14 lead after the first quarter. Wilbanks had the first six Raiders points, but Coleson Ivey hit a big shot from downtown for Stephens to tie the game. The Indians got a go-ahead bucket on a eurostep move late in the quarter.

A 3-pointer for the Indians had them up 19-14 in the second, but soon after Mihalick had FIVE consecutive baskets to take over and put the Raiders up for good. Wilbanks then drained a shot from beyond the arc, and Habersham outscored Stephens 20-9 in the quarter to enter the break up 34-25. Wilbanks had 18 in the half, and Mihalick 14.

Wilbanks then had the first six in the third quarter, as Habersham pulled up a 40-25 lead. Mihalick added a dunk down the stretch in the waning seconds of the third.

He remained hot in the fourth, connecting on his fifth 3-pointer of the contest. He closed with a game-high 37 points, while Mihalick added 22. Stephens County was led by #22’s (unknown on roster) 15 points, while Ivey added 14.
