
Banks County’s Ansley Moore follows up her junior Track & Field Athlete of the Year award with XC Runner of the Year honors to kick off her senior season. The Lady Leopards’ star runner proved her worth on the biggest courses.

Ansley Moore was the State Runner-Up for 1A DI, finishing at 20:11. She won the region title with a PR of 19:05.97, and was the sectionals champ at 19:50. Over the course of the season, Moore placed in the top-5 in all but one meet, and four times was the top overall runner. She previously was 4th at state in 2024, 8th in 2023, and 13th in 2022. She’s a 3-time XC Region Champion.

Moore held 11 of the 17 1st-place votes, though four different runners grabbed a top vote. 14 of Moore’s votes were 1-3, with only three falling outside the top three slots.

Moore is the first Banks County Lady Leopard to claim the Girls XC ROY award. She’s the first senior to win it since 2022, as eight times it has gone to a junior. Last year’s winner, Lola Hunter, was a finalist this year as well.
