#17 Monroe Area 2, #1 Jefferson 0

Perhaps the most shocking playoff result was here, as the top-ranked Lady Dragons fell to region foes Monroe Area by scores of 9-6 and 12-9, closing their season in the Sweet 16.

#12 SE Bulloch 2, #5 Lumpkin County 1

Lumpkin County blasted through SE Bulloch 15-0 in the opening game before taking a 5-3 loss in the second. That forced a win-or-stay-home game three on Thursday. SE Bulloch won a 1-0 final in nine innings, ending Lumpkin’s season.

#2 LaFayette 2, #18 Dawson County 1

The Lady Tigers were involved in a pair of 1-run games, losing the first one 4-3 before rebounding with a tough 3-2 win to force a Thursday do-or-die game three. LaFayette won the finale, 2-0 to end Dawson’s season.

CLASS 2A

#2 Sonoraville 2, #15 Union County 0

The Lady Panthers’ season comes to a close with a sweep from Sonoraville. Union lost game one 1-0 before an 11-0 second game.

CLASS 1A DI

#10 Banks County 2, #7 ACE Charter 0

The Lady Leopards won 1-0 over ACE Charter in the first game before a 12-4 second game to complete the sweep and clinch a date in Columbus.
