The Week Ten Game of the Week takes us to The Brickyard as an undefeated North Hall Trojans take on the Lumpkin County Indians.

NORTH HALL
The Trojans were a surprise Region Championship team a year ago – that’s not the case this year. Bringing back so many key players like QB Alex Schlieman, WR Ty Kemp, and RB Parker Carlton, it was easy to see this team dominating in 2025. So far, the Trojans are 7-0 overall and 4-0 in region play, with all the momentum and the inside track on back-to-back titles.

LUMPKIN COUNTY
The Indians are 5-2 and have been amazing on the offensive side of the ball. Both losses were within 10 points, and Lumpkin County has one of the state’s fastest and shiftiest running backs in Nolan Matthews. In the past three games, the defense has made some big strides as well.

OUR PREDICTION
We typically make a case for both, with our official pick linked below. Let’s begin with the Trojans. North Hall is one of the top offensive teams in the state. They haven’t scored fewer than 38 points in an unbeaten start. Their games against GAC and even East Hall show that the defense is susceptible to give up some big plays. If North Hall can produce just an average night offensively, and the defense limits big plays, they will win at home. The Indians will have to get huge production from Nolan Matthews again, but also from Mason Hester. The margin for error is extremely thin here, so a shootout could favor Lumpkin if they can take care of the ball. OUR PICK: SEE HERE

DO WE BRING LUCK?
For Lumpkin County, the Indians have gone 8-16 overall in our 24 games covered for them. That includes dropping each of the last three we’ve taken in.

This rivalry runs deep, with 31 all-time meetings. North Hall has owned the series to say the least, going 24-7 overall. Lumpkin won the first all-time meeting in 1962, and it was a regular matchup through the 60s, 70s, and 80s. After 1985, they wouldn’t play again for 20 years, when in 2006 they renewed it. Since then, the Trojans have gone 12-1, including winning the last eight meetings. Lumpkin last won in 2010 – at The Brickyard.
