Football – Franklin County Lions

You’ve got to hand it to Franklin County. The Lions are 2-0 to start the season and are just a win shy of tying last year’s win total. They did it with style, too. 70 points no matter the opponent is quite something. That’s what Franklin put up on Johnson. Yes, it’s the Knights…but when you also consider the 70 points came in just one half, that’s unreal. That follows the Week One win over Chestatee in overtime. Great time to be a Lion!

Softball – Jefferson Lady Dragons

Jefferson won 16-0 over Alcovy for their lone game this week. It was yet another dominant offensive and pitching display, as the #3 Lady Dragons move to 8-0 on the season.

Volleyball – Franklin County Lady Lions, White County Lady Warriors, Habersham Central Lady Raiders

The Franklin County volleyball team was the only local team to go 4-0 last week. They won eight sets and lost only one, and beat Rabun, Elbert, and Pickens all by 2-0 scores and 2-1 over Union. They’re 9-6 overall

White County went 3-0, winning seven of nine sets overall. Beating Pickens, West Hall, and Gilmer got the Lady Warriors back to some great momentum, as they are 5-8 overall.

Habersham Central continues to play very well, going 3-0 with wins over Madison County, Banks County, and Rabun Gap in a 5-set thriller.

Boys XC – Lumpkin County Indians

Witt Windham torched the field at the NGXCL 1 Frontrunner 5 Star Stride event. He won the event, and Evan Good came in fifth to lead Lumpkin County to a 1st-place team finish.

Girls XC – Tallulah Falls Lady Indians

Olivia Henderson set a new school record while running to yet another top-5 finish in the North Georgia Championship meet. The Lady Indians placed first in their division against some really good competition.
