The BLITZ Football Players of the Week are Martin Hulsey (Lumpkin County), Max Brown (Jefferson), and Donovan Warren (Habersham Central). Hulsey won the Fan Vote with 1,749 of the 3,880 total votes. Brown and Warren were the BLITZ Picks.

MARTIN HULSEY – LUMPKIN COUNTY

Martin Hulsey wasted no time in making a name for himself at the varsity level. He was a standout on JV as a freshman, but in the Indians’ opener, he answered the key question on who Lumpkin’s go-to target would be. It’s Hulsey, a sophomore who hauled in seven catches for 120 yards and a pair of TDs. This is his first POW award.

MAX BROWN – JEFFERSON

Jefferson’s junior 4-star LB and Clemson commit Max Brown showed out against #1-ranked powerhouse program Marist. In the Dragons’ monumental victory, Brown was the key defensively – 16 tackles (7 FOR LOSS!!!), a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. He found time to collect 36 rushing yards as well. This is his second career POW award.

DONOVAN WARREN – HABERSHAM CENTRAL

Habersham Central’s Donovan Warren was handed the ball 26 times in the Raiders’ win over Stephens County. He rewarded that faith with 7.4 yards per tote, collecting 193 yards and a TD, including notching a 50-yard run. This is his first POW award.
