We have a new BLITZ Cup Champion, as Jefferson claims the traveling trophy after a historic 2024-25 school year. The trophy spent the past year at Lumpkin County, and will now return to the Dragons for the second time, and first since 2018-19. MORE ABOUT BLITZ CUP
Jefferson had a championship year, with the football, volleyball, boys cross country, cheerleading, wrestling, girls swimming, girls track and field, boys track and field, girls soccer, boys soccer, and girls golf teams all finishing in the Final 4 or better. The volleyball, girls golf, and wrestling teams all won state titles, while the football and girls soccer teams were State Runner-Up.

Jefferson held the lead at the end of the fall, winter, and spring seasons, being atop the heap from wire-to-wire. Tallulah Falls put up a valiant effort with 297 total points, and Banks County (255), Habersham Central (216), and Lumpkin County (209) all finishing north of 200 points.
The trophy will be engraved with Jefferson’s 2024-25 win, and will reside at JHS for the next year until a new champion emerges.
