The BLITZ Track & Field Athletes of the Week are Joanna Miller (Tallulah Falls) and Carley Funderburke (Stephens County).

JOANNA MILLER – TALLULAH FALLS

Sophomore Joanna Miller is a speedster. The sprinter picked up a 1st-place finish in the 100, and was Runner-Up in the 200 at the Chestatee Time Trials to open the season. This is her first BLITZ award.

CARLEY FUNDERBURKE – STEPHENS COUNTY

Sophomore Carley Funderburke showed power on the diamond last fall with the Lady Indians softball team. Now she’s doing it in track and field. The thrower hurled an 80-10 in discus at the Chestatee Time Trials, placing Runner-Up. This is her second BLITZ award.
