Following years of success from 2019-23, the Lady Panthers had a young unproven group take the field last spring. That core is still young, but should improve over last year’s 2-win total.

“Our girls will be a pretty young team this season,” says Hunter. “We have a very exciting freshman class, several of these players may feature on the varsity if they continue to play well and improve. Seniors Lily Brookshire, Ariel McCarter, Katelyn Brown, and Kiella Strand all return as multi-year starters and will be tasked with helping guide this young team. Lillith is a fiery competitor who can play up front or on the wing. She scored several important goals for us last season and will be a big part of our offense. Ariel McCarter, who is currently in basketball, gives us speed and finishing up front and strong crosses and throw ins from midfield. Ariel can turn a lot of throw ins into set pieces. She was our leading scorer in the playoffs over the last three seasons. Katelyn Brown is also in basketball but is a physical presence as a midfielder or central defender. She wins the ball in the air with authority and does a great job helping control the center of play. Kiella Strand is a pre-season All-State player. She is a very tactically and technically sound player who sets up her teammates well with her passing.”
