There wasn’t a team in our neck of the woods as powerful and dominant as the Lady Dragons in 2024. Jefferson held a #1 ranking for a large portion of the schedule, went 18-1-1 overall, and won a region title while playing in the State Semifinals.

Strengths: “Our hashtag is #PlayToWinUniteToTheEnd (legacy hashtag from the 2024 seniors),” adds McCarty. “Making it to the final four in 5A last year to lose in a PK shootout to the state champion, GAC, is something that we will build upon going into this season.”

“Our goal is always to play with one heart but more so this year because this senior group has helped lead us to a state championship appearance, a final four and a Sweet 16,” says McCarty. “It is never how we start the season but how we finish it.”
