Dawson County led virtually all game in a 56-37 final at Lumpkin (7-14; 2-8 in 6-AAA), notching a key region win. 

Eva Bishop and Maddie Siuta had nine points combined in the early going as #10 Dawson (13-7; 6-3) led 15-10 through the first. Lumpkin’s Anna Kate Davis had seven points, including a clutch 3-pointer. 

The Lady Indians held tight midway through the second, down by just four, buoyed by a strong performance from Maddie Lee. Dawson pushed the lead up to 25-16 at the break as Bishop had 10 points in the first half. 

Ava Roberson had a couple quick shots go down early in the third, and Rielyn Talley notched her second tray to pad the lead at 13. Lee had a nice 3-point play to help get back within single digits momentarily, hanging at 38-29 heading into the final period. 

Bishop and Roberson continued to play well down the stretch, combining for 24 in the second half. Bishop had a game-high 23 points, followed on the Lady Tigers with Roberson with 14. Talley and Siuta each had eight, and Addison Smith added three. 

Lumpkin was paced by Lee with 20 points, while Davis had nine, and Emerson Reese and Alayna Lindley both had four.
