The BLITZ Girls Basketball Players of the Week are Ella Kate Shedd and Kylie Watkins, both of White County. Shedd won the Fan Vote with 15,515 of the 31,470 total votes. Watkins was the BLITZ Pick.

ELLA KATE SHEDD – WHITE COUNTY

Ella Kate Shedd plays her role very well. The sophomore isn’t counted on heavily to score, but she can when needed to. The White County guard/forward averaged seven points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals across five games over the Christmas/New Year’s break. She pretty much did it all, and earns her first POW award.

KYLIE WATKINS – WHITE COUNTY

Kylie Watkins earns her second POW award this season and 6th of her career. The senior forward had a great showing over the break, averaging 18 points, five rebounds, three blocks, and two steals per contest. That included reaching a milestone of 1,000 points and 500 rebounds on the same night.
