Collecting 55 hits and a 1.498 OPS, Jenna Rapp was a sophomore sensation as the shortstop for the Lady Dragons. She hit .489 and belted 12 homers (a Jefferson record), all while driving in 42 runs and tallying 21 doubles. She slugged .974, and was fantastic defensively with a .975 fielding percentage.

Rapp earned 10 out of 19 1st-place votes, with only 1 vote of hers coming outside the top-4. Peyton Gaylor had 4 1st-place votes, and both Sadie Dotson and Carley Funderburke had a couple apiece. Izzy Anthros had the other.

Jenna Rapp is the first Jefferson player to ever win the award, and she’s the first SS since Madi Cronic (Banks County) in 2020. Her win breaks a 7-year streak of seniors winning the award. She will have a legitimate chance to become the first repeat winner since Jessica Morgan (White County).
