Lauren Black batted .667 in the opening round of state. The Lady Warriors’ senior outfielder was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, 2 R, 2 BB, and a sacrifice in the 2-game sweep as White County advanced to the Sweet 16. This is her first POW award.

IZZY ANTHROS – UNION COUNTY
Sophomore Izzy Anthros seems to play best when the pressure is on. In the opening round of state for Union County, the Lady Panthers’ pitcher/shortstop hit .667 (4-for-6), adding 2 doubles. She was 2-0 in the circle with a spotless 0.00 ERA, striking out 14 batters in 9 innings of work. This is her second POW award.
