Throughout the football season, we will recognize a Defensive Player of the Month (Fan Vote winner and BLITZ pick) for each 4-week span. The Defensive Players of the Month for Weeks 5-8 are Jon Scott (White County) and Noah English (Rabun County). Scott won the Fan Vote with 11,808 of the 25,928 total votes. English was the BLITZ pick.

JON SCOTT – WHITE COUNTY

Jon Scott has had an absolutely remarkable career. The White County linebacker has been one of the most consistent players in the state especially in the last 2 seasons. For Weeks 5-8, the Warriors’ standout collected 41 tackles, 3 TFL, and 1 Sack, earning POM honors. This is his second BLITZ award.

NOAH ENGLISH – RABUN COUNTY

Noah English gave us all a scare with a knee injury early in the season. Thankfully, the junior linebacker has been on the field and leading Rabun County on that side of the ball. English through Weeks 5-8 had 43 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 Sacks, a forced fumble, and 3 QBH to his credit, earning his first-ever BLITZ award.
