The senior signal-caller passed for 315 yards and 5 TD in a marquee top-10 matchup with #9-ranked Elbert County as #2 Stephens won handedly. The QB was 22-for-31 passing (71%). His previous career-high was a 3-TD passing game last year against White County. For the 2024 season, Underwood has thrown for 504 yds and 6 TD against 2 INTs, and has a 71% completion rate. This is his first POW award.

GAVIN MARKEY – JEFFERSON
Senior Gavin Markey missed nearly the entire first game of the season when coming out due to an injury. He rebounded quickly, and Jefferson reaped the benefits. In a blowout win against Jackson County, the #2-ranked Dragons’ QB threw for 191 yds and 2 TD, and added a 99-yd rush TD to set a program record. This is his second POW award.
