Dustin Barrett did everything he could to get Towns County in the win column for the first time since October 2022. The 12-game losing streak is over after the Indians blew up Murray County, 42-14. Barrett, a standout junior RB, rolled up 139 yards rushing and 2 TD, and added 33 receiving yards. On the other side of the ball, he had 5 tackles and 2 interceptions. This is Barrett’s third career POW award.

TY TRUELOVE – RABUN COUNTY
Ty Truelove put on a clinic against White County in the Wildcats’ opening victory in Week One. The junior Power 4 recruit was 8-of-14 passing (57% completion) for 214 yards and 4 TD. He also showed off what he could do with the legs – rushing for 89 yards on 8 carries, including 2 TDs and one that went for 69 yards. His 6 total TDs is a career-high, as his 4 TDs passing ties his mark set last season. This is Truelove’s third career POW award.
