The Lady Panthers had to make some quick adjustments last fall, and young players really stepped up to carry the program back to the postseason and nearly win the Super Regionals series to get to Columbus. Still, it was a 6th straight playoff run, and 16th in the last 18 years. Robby Roxbury takes over the program, and he’s no stranger to the Union County high expectations.

Head Coach: Robby Roxbury (1st Season)
2023 Record: 13-11-1; Region Runner-Up; State Super Regionals (2-2); #8 State Ranking

“We have many juniors and sophomores who will need to take their past years experiences and be factors in key positions and roles this season as well,” adds Roxbury. This will include Zady Ludlum, Jaslyn Roberts, Delaney Moses, Ayla Jamison, Ella Akins and Jules Dyer. We are looking forward to seeing Jordane Mullanack and freshmen Addison Whitener, Stella Collins, and Lexi Davenport competing for positions in the lineup this season.”
Key Departures: Gracie Gladding, Georgia Patton
“We lost some key offensive players last season,” adds Roxbury. So we are working hard offensively to replace the offensive juggernauts that graduated last season.”

Team Strengths: “Our strength for 2024 will be our defense,” adds Roxbury. “If we stay healthy and have no key injuries.”

“Our expectation this season is to work hard and continue in the traditions that the past years Union County teams and coaches have achieved,” states Roxbury. “The region we are in is very tough and skillful. It will be a battle all season, but the experience gained will no doubt help all who make the playoffs. We are looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
