His 1600 PR of 4:17 came with a region title, and his 9:14.62 PR in the 3200 was in the State Runner-Up finish.

Windham took a commanding lead with 8 1st-place votes, though Brad Chosewood had 5 such votes and Jacari Huff one. All of Chosewood’s votes were 1st and 2nd, putting him just behind Windham.

Windham secures what is now the 3rd Athlete of the Year award for Lumpkin County, tying with Commerce and Jefferson for the lead. He is the third distance runner to claim it, and the first non-senior since Malaki Starks in 2021. No one has ever repeated the award.
