Sophomore SS/P Owen Miller has been an emerging star for the #9-ranked Leopards. Miller did it all last week, batting .429 after going 3-for-7 at the plate with 2 runs scored. On the bump, he was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 6 strikeouts with a 0.545 WHIP in 4 innings of work. This is Miller’s first POW award.

BANKS HICKMAN – DAWSON COUNTY

You won’t find many pitching gems like this one. Senior Banks Hickman had one for the ages for #5-ranked Dawson. The hurler threw a complete game shutout with just one hit allowed, striking out 15 while taking the win. It was shades of what his coach Logan Burt used to do not too far back when he pitched for Dawson. This is Hickman’s first POW award.

KONNER BURRELL – HABERSHAM CENTRAL

Domination marks the week Konner Burrell had for the Raiders. Last week, he hit .700 after going 7-for-10. He knocked out 3 homeruns, drove in 14 runs, had 2 doubles and 2 triples. The senior outfielder/pitcher also was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, walking one and striking out 12 in 7 innings. This is Burrell’s second career POW award.
