The Indians had their second playoff appearance in a 3-year span and this season have several of their top hitters and pitchers back to take a hopeful leap in 2024.

That group, along with newcomers David Dutary, Chris Waldron, Gregory Mendez, and Diego Gonzalez stand a great chance to make some noise in 8-A DI.

Team Strengths: “Depth at all positions,” says Pollock. “Pitching should be a strength, as we return over 160 innings on the mound. We have competitive depth at every position. We expect Caden Walker to be at the top of the lineup and guys like Danny Grant, Rohajae Pinder, Ashton Roache and newcomer Diego Gonzalez all to be somewhere in the middle of the order. Overall we have a good balance of speed, power and guys who can handle the bat. We’ve got a lot of experienced guys who compete and fill up the zone pitching-wise. Cole Bonitatibus, Pinder, Chase Pollock and Andrew Skvarka are all back and all threw 30+ innings for us last season. Walker has come on really strong as well and Gonzalez is also a very talented arm.”
