The Indians have made steady progress under the leadership of coach Rob Worsley. This marks year three, and despite losing a pair of its top players, Stephens County hopes to continue that progression in 2024.

Head Coach: Rob Worsley (3rd Season)
2023 Record: 4-9-2; No Playoffs

Returning Starters: 6
Key Returners: Micah Burkhart (SR GK/CB; 83 Saves), Josiah Schell (JR M; 2 G, 2 A), Wesley Vickers (JR M), Aiden McCullom (SO F), Levi Burtt (SR M), Beau Adams
Key Departures: Navy Ott, Isaac DeFoor, Colton Bartmas

Ott, DeFoor, and Bartmas combined for 15 goals and about 130 shots. Those were the top-3 scorers. Someone will need to step into that scoring role, and all signs point to Schell and McCullom, as well as Adams and Vickers to fill those gaps. Bringing back standout keeper Burkhart is huge.

Team Strengths: Goalkeeping. Burkhart is going to be a veteran leader between the pipes.

“We have a pretty young group of guys,” says coach Rob Worsley. “We graduated 10 players from last year’s team, 9 of whom were starters. While it is going to be tough to replace that many starters in one season, I believe the underclassmen are ready to step up and in fact have been waiting for their opportunity to be placed in this role. I anticipate some early growing pains but believe we have the roster to be quite competitive once region play rolls around. Our goal is to finish with a region record that qualifies us to participate in the state tournament at the end of the season.”
