Jefferson got a tough draw out of Region 8-AAAAA a year ago, which meant an early exit in the playoffs after making a Sweet 16 and Final 4 run in the two years prior. The Dragons return their entire defense, which was their strong point, and should make a major run this season.

Head Coach: Ezra Crumley (2nd Season)
2023 Record: 7-5-1; State Rnd 1

Returning Starters: 7
Key Returners: Jibril Jovani (Captain/Sr./Def); Caleb Rudisill (Captain/Sr./Def); Jared Childs (Sr./DM); Dylan Edmonds (Jr./MF); Aidan Wellborn (Jr./MF); Andrew Sorah (Sph./Def); Ian Johnson (Sph./FWD)
Key Departures: Chase Johnson (GK); Mason Fifer (DM); Riley Christopher (CM)

Team Strengths: “We return all four defenders,” adds Crumley. “We fill that defensively we set up pretty well with what we have returning mixed with some up-and-coming talent. We are a year into a new system, so we feel much better about our players understanding positionally and performing to the standards of our program.”

“Our goals revolve around the process it takes to be a champion,” states Crumley. “We do not focus on the goals we set, more importantly the process it takes to reach our goals. We expect our players to perform hard during training sessions and players fulfill their roles on the team to the best of their abilities. We respect every opponent, but we want every opponent win, lose, or draw to walk away from our games respecting us and how we play. I look forward to watching our players grow as individuals and as a team over the course of the season in hopes that we can put ourselves in position to win a region championship.”
