It was a special run for Lumpkin County last year, as first-year coach Ryan Zaideman took the Indians to 20 wins (best in at least 13 years) and a state playoff trip for the first time since 2015. That carried the first state ranking in well over a decade. Now, with a large group of starters returning, this has all the makings of an even better 2024.

Head Coach: Ryan Zaideman (2nd Season)
2023 Record: 20-11; State Rnd 1; #10 State Ranking

Returning Starters: 8
Key Returners: Harper Davenport, Hayden Gilbert, Alejandro Narvaez, Peyton Wood, Dakota Bennett
Key Departures: Cooper Scott, Landon Greene

Team Strengths: “Defense,” states Zaideman.

“Our goal/expectation is to compete every pitch and to be a mentally tough baseball team,” says Zaideman.
