The Dragons were one of the top-10 teams in the state a year ago, sporting 19 wins and making the playoffs in the first season under Kyle Hardy. Though half the starters graduated, Jefferson is well-positioned to take a step forward this season.

Team Strengths: “Starting pitching, speed/baserunning,” states Hardy.

“Once again, we will compete in the toughest region in the state in 5A with Loganville, Winder, Flowery Branch, Eastside, Clarke Central, and Heritage,” says Hardy. “Loganville is the defending State Champions. We have scheduled a tough non-region to prepare us for region play. We plan to compete well in the region, and we will be battle-tested going into the playoffs.”
