The Raiders cruised from start to finish in a home region showdown against Jackson County. Habersham Central (15-4; 4-2) got back on the winning track with a 75-56 win. The Panthers (8-11; 2-4) dropped their second in a row, and got within single digits late in the third before Habersham put up 22 fourth-quarter points to put the game away.

A 15-4 run to open the game had the Raiders out in front, and the lead would never be relinquished. Junior Jalen Davis set the tone with 7 points in the first period. In the second, the Panthers punched back a bit, as both teams scored 17 points in the quarter. Junior Enzo Combs heated up with a 3-pointer, and senior Dayden Roland had 4 points and 3 blocks in the half. Davis and Combs each had 11 in the first half as the Raiders held a comfy 37-24 advantage.

Justus Gober had a big triple in the third, though Jackson County got within single digits a couple of times. A laying by junior JoJo McCurry pushed it back up into double-digits. From there, the Raiders never wavered. All the aforementioned players had baskets as well as senior Brannon Gaines and a pair of shots from deep by junior Caden Garrison. Sophomore Judge Wilbanks also had some big baskets, and senior Elliot Yancey had a triple as well. The fourth quarter was highlighted by an odd play in which McCurry was looking to throw to a breaking Roland in the paint. But a defender got a hand up, which ricocheted the ball off the backboard and in for a happy accident, which credited McCurry with the points.

Habersham was paced by 20 points from Combs and 19 from Davis, while McCurry reached double figures with 12 points. Garrison had six, Gober five, Roland and Wilbanks four apiece, three for Yancey, and two for Gaines.
