With the conclusion of the Fall Sports season in the 2023-24 school year, we present the first update to the BLITZ Cup Standings. There will be another after the Winter Sports scene closes, and the final standings once Spring Sports wrap up.
In the first update, Jefferson is well ahead of the rest of the pack. The Dragon faithful can thank a football semifinals run, volleyball quarterfinals trip, softball making a big run at the regionals, and the cross country teams both placing inside the top-10 at state, as well as competition cheer. Jefferson nabbed region titles in football, volleyball, girls cross country, and cheer. Every single program was state-ranked this fall. Lumpkin County lurks behind not too far off, and last year’s BLITZ Cup Champions, Tallulah Falls, sits back in 10th place.
