QUESTIONS FOR THE COACH

Congrats on the new job and move up HWY 60 to Dahlonega, can you share what lead you to the change of colors? You had built up a state known program with region and area titles?
“Lumpkin County has a rich wrestling history. The entire community supports wrestling. This was a big factor in the decision to come here. The administration has also been super supportive. Very excited to be a part of this awesome community.”

You are also solely focusing on the girls side now – Correct?
“Yes, I am in charge of just the girls. We also have on staff Jessi Askew, who came with me from my previous school and Sean Mullins, who has been an Indian for a long time and has a wealth of wrestling experience. We are very excited about where our program is at.”

Strengths/concerns
“Our strengths are that we have a really good core group coming back. They have also done a very good job of recruiting the hall and getting girls to come out. Concerns are filling all the weight classes. If you can fill all of the weight classes, you have a chance to be pretty good.”

Expectations
“Our expectations for this season are very simple… we want to win a state title. This group is hungry and ready to go. They have been working very hard!  We can’t wait to get after it with this group.”
