The Warriors begin life without Jadon Yeh, arguably the team’s all-time best player (or in that conversation). In a shocking move, coach Robbie Bailey also stepped down from the program. White County pivoted to incoming coach Stephen Stuart. He has an experienced and talented team that must now find a new identity while also keeping the high expectation. The Warriors are up to the task.

PRESEASON INFO

2022-23 Record: 17-12; Region 7-AAA Champions; State Rnd 1; #9 State Ranking
Head Coach: Stephen Stuart (1st Season)
Returning Starters: 4
Key Departures: Jadon Yeh (Region POY & All-State), Chad West
Key Players: Dawson Oliver, Noah Futch, Tripp Nix, Braxton Anderson, David Boman
Offense: Uptempo
Strengths: “We have a lot of experienced kids who have already won a lot of basketball games in their high school careers,” says Stuart. “Our bench should be pretty deep this year.”
Biggest Challenges: “Our biggest challenge will be to find our identity as a team,” adds Stuart. “We relied heavily on Jadon Yeh last year and we are going to have to come together to replace his scoring, leadership, and defense. That will not be replaced by one person but will have to be a complete team effort. We have the pieces to do this and be a really great complete team.”

“The foundation for this team has been laid over the last 3 years,” says Stuart. “Our expectation is to compete in every game we play. We are looking to defend a Region Championship and make a deep run in the State Tournament.”
