After an incredible season that reached the Elite 8, the Lady Indians are hoping to replace the production of the graduating talent and make another big run in 2022-23.

PRESEASON INFO
2022-23 Record: 21-9; State Elite 8; Region 8-A DII Runner-Up; #6 State Ranking
Head Coach: Shea Taylor (3rd Season)
Returning Starters: 3
Key Departures: Sarah Shook (leading scorer), Tabitha Barnes
Key Players: SR PG Brelan Sieveking (All-State), SR Laura Mauldin, SR Emma Lallement, JR Kaleigh Beaver, JR Ansleigh Hardin, SO Scotlyn Fain
Offense: “We will play at a fast pace and look to run in transition,” adds Taylor.
Strengths: “The foundation is set and these girls understand the system,” states Taylor. “We have 3 great players and senior leaders in the locker room Laura Mauldin, Emma Lallement and a true floor general in our (PG) senior Brelan Sieveking. I am counting on the seniors and look for JR Kaleigh Beaver, JR Ansleigh Hardin, and SO Scotlyn Fain to have a big year. We look to pick up right where we ended last season.”
Biggest Challenges: “With a shorter bench we will need to stay out of foul trouble,” says Taylor. “We will be depending on younger players – freshmen and sophomores – to step up and give us quality minutes.”

“This team has set some big goals,” exclaims Taylor. “We expect to win and make another playoff run!”
