The Lady Dragons won 10 games last season, but won the ones that mattered the most. With a largely talented yet young team, coach Greg Brown did what he always does – gets the most out of his team. Jefferson rode to a surprising Region Championship and playoff appearance. Now, with everyone back (and still young with no seniors), the girls will look to build off that momentum to a hopeful deep run in 2023-24.

PRESEASON INFO
2022-23 Record: 10-18; Region 8-AAAAA Champions; State Rnd 1
Head Coach: Greg Brown (6th Season)
Returning Starters: 5
Key Departures: NONE
Key Players: JR Emeri Billings, JR Skyler Brady, JR Anni Aldridge, JR Delaney Dewitt, JR Eve Knight.
“We only had one senior last year, so we return the bulk of our team including key reserves Audrey Johnson (Junior), Reagan Hays (Sophomore), Sara Grace Worley (Sophomore) and Abbie Kinlaw (Sophomore),” says coach Greg Brown. “Also adding 3 quality freshmen in Michel Robbins, Alayah Johnson, and Karlee Law.”
Offense: Fast-paced
Strengths: “We return a lot of experienced players and we should have a lot of quality depth which will allow us to play the way we want to play,” adds Brown.
Biggest Challenges: “Staying healthy…we are still young, we will have NO seniors on this team,” says Brown.

“We expect to compete against every team on our schedule, continue to grow throughout the season with these young players and be where we want to be in February…competing for a Region Championship and making a deep run in the State Tournament,” states Brown.
