The Tigers were a 9-win team that finished just shy of the state playoffs last season. Still, they have a dynamic 1-2 punch in returning standouts Trey Harvey and Caden Reed. All the starters in fact are back. With that in mind, there’s a lot to like about this team and their chances to contend in 7-AAA.

PRESEASON INFO
2022-23 Record: 9-17; No Playoffs
Head Coach: Todd Cottrell (4th Season)
Returning Starters: 5
Key Departures: Beau Robinson
Key Players: “Caden Reed, Joshua Priest, Trey Harvey, Ethan Parker, Amari Horner,” says Cottrell. “Look for Nick Bellinger, Sam Glover and Landon Lee to have an impact as well.”
Offense: “We hope to play a fast, aggressive style,” says Cottrell.
Strengths: “Experience, maturity, depth,” adds Cottrell.
Biggest Challenges: “Can we defend and rebound consistently,” inquires Cottrell.

“We are looking forward to this season as we return the majority of our roster,” says Cottrell. “I really like this team. Our players have worked extremely hard this offseason and have shown improvement. Hopefully, we will play our way into contention for a State Tournament berth. We return a lot of experienced players (Reed, Harvey, Parker) who have played a lot of minutes the past two seasons, and who were on the Region Championship/Sweet 16 team as freshmen. We will play a very tough schedule and are excited about the challenges that the season brings.”
