We caught up with Lumpkin County football heading into the final Indians’ BYE week following a win over Gilmer. We talked with head coach Heath Webb and stars Mason Sullens (SR RB), Cal Faulkner (JR QB), and Will Wood (SR LB).
The Indians talked about the special season after the 7-0 start (best since 1967), #5 state ranking (first AJC ranking since ’67), and being the team to beat in Region 7-AAA. Webb and the players also talk about the top-5 ranked offense (41.6 pts/game) and the top-10 ranked defense (11.7). Recruitment is wide open for Sullens, Faulkner, and Wood.
