MASON SULLENS – LUMPKIN COUNTY

Mason Sullens launched his senior campaign with authority. In a signature win over high-flying Union County, the Indians star back notched 249 yards on 32 carries, good for 7.8 yards per tote. He found the end zone 4 times, and also had 36 kick retun yards for a grand total of 285 yards. That’s a lot of real estate. This is Sullens’ second career POW award.

SAMMY BROWN – JEFFERSON

Yeah, you’re probably thinking, Sammy Brown, again? Yes! He’s that good! The 5-star Clemson commit had 127 rushing yards and 2 TD, added 17 tackles (read that again), a sack, and had 3 punts for an average of 52 yards in the #4-ranked Dragons’ win over Wren (SC). Didn’t know he had that in his toolkit, but there it is. All 3 punts landed inside the 20, and one went for 75 yards! This is Brown’s 10th career POW award, putting him among just two others to have 10 or more POW awards (Gunner Stockton with 19, Ivy Tolbert with 11, Sammy Brown with 10).

DOM LEBLANC – DAWSON COUNTY

Dawson County’s star athlete carried the Tigers in a tough loss to Lambert in Week Two. The senior wideout/kicker had 7 catches for 175 yards and a TD (the only Dawson TD of the contest). He also booted 3 field goals (22 yds, 31 yds, 45 yds), totaling 16 of the team’s 18 points. This is LeBlanc’s second POW award.
