The Habersham EMC Linemen of the Week for Week Two are the entire Commerce O-Line and Stephens County’s Kymani Colbert for the D-Line.

COMMERCE OL

When you talk about Commerce football, you’re talking about over 100 years of history – and RICH history at that. So any time a school record is broken, it’s a pretty big deal. The Commerce O-Line in Week Two against Murphy (NC) paved the way to 538 rushing yards, setting a new Tigers mark. While Jaiden Daniels (208 yds, 2 TD), Tysean Wiggins (193 yds, 2 TD), and Jacari Huff (59 yds, 1 TD) get a lot of the glory for that, the line made it possible to pound out 13.1 yards per carry. That line consists of JR T #73 Boston Brown, JR G #71 Dante Smith, JR G #59 Michael Duncan, JR C #54 Braxton Epps, SR T #64 Joey Duncan, SR T #85 Corey Suber, and JR LS #67 Bryson Fleeman.

Other Standouts: Ashley Eckert (Jefferson JR OT #56 – 87% Grade, 3 Pancake Blocks, No Busted Assignments); Cooper Dean (Stephens County SR OT #78 – 80% Grade, No Sacks Allowed); Lumpkin County OL (500+ total offensive yds)

KYMANI COLBERT – STEPHENS DL

Kymani Colbert picked a big game to have a big game. In a top-5 showdown with #2-ranked Rabun County, the Stephens County sophomore defensive end was instrumental in a 35-0 victory. Colbert tallied 3 tackles and 2 sacks in what is an early signature game in his career.

Other Standouts: Gerald Walker (Lumpkin County JR DE #28); Lane Lance (Union County SR DE #69 – 7 TKL, 1 QBH, 1 FFum)
