Stephens County did something no team has done against Rabun County since 2014 by beating the Wildcats in a regular season game by more than 14 points. The last time it happened was the season-opener against Jefferson that year. In Week Two, the #5 Indians won 35-0 while keeping Rabun County out of the red zone for nearly the entire contest.

Both teams traded turnovers in the first half, but Tripp Underwood’s 4th & 5, 33-yd TD pass to Devon Swinton in the first seconds of the second quarter gave Stephens all it would need. With just under 4 minutes to go in the half, Underwood connected with Devin Cobb on a 21-yd score to pad the lead.

Late in the third, Omari Feaster broke through the line and raced 82 yards for a dagger of a score, and early in the fourth Javin Gordon’s 3-yd TD run put the game on ice. Feaster added a 1-yd TD run a couple minutes later to cap the scoring at 35-0.

Underwood had 2 TD passes, Feaster had 2 TD runs, and Stephens County also became the first team to shut out the Wildcats in any game since 2013 in the state playoffs (Round 1) at GAC. The Indians are now 2-0 and the Wildcats 1-1. The Indians win over Rabun was the first since 1959.
