The Habersham Central Raiders showcased their offensive and defensive potential on Friday night with a dominant win over East Hall at home. The varsity starters played a full half before giving way following a 27-7 padding.
Hab Central used its one-two punch of senior QB Carson Parker and junior WR Zeke Whittington to roll up a 14-0 lead just 5 minutes into the game. The Raiders added 13 more in the second.

Parker hooked up with Landyn Savage on a slant route that resulted in a big touchdown, though it was called back due to a penalty. Moments later, Parker found Whittington for a deep pass play that set up a 14-yard TD run for junior Hayes Gunn to get Habersham on the board with 10:46 to go. After a fumble recovery by Keller Green, the Raiders capitalized with a Parker 3-yard TD run to push the lead up to 14-0.
East Hall got a score in the opening seconds of the second quarter, but the Raiders responded with a 13-yd TD from Parker to Whittington, in which the latter bulldozed his way in the final 5 yards. Just before the break, Parker capped off the quarter with an 11-yd TD run to push the lead to 27-7.
