John LaFevers got the Lady Indians going in his first season. The girls were competitive, and gained quality experience while falling just short of state playoff berth. In year two for LaFevers, he has plenty of experienced starters back, and others will look to have a breakout season to lead Stephens back into the postseason.

Head Coach: John LaFevers, 2nd season
2022 Record: 12-18; No Playoffs
“We expect to take a significant step forward this year after missing the state playoffs last year,” echoes LaFevers. “A winning season and a state playoff birth are very realistic expectations for 2023 as we continue to grow our program.”

Personnel
Returning Starters: 5
Key Departures: MB My’Angel Carter
Carter was the team’s top talent in 2022, so she will be missed. A’Niya Mayweather and Nevaeh Damann will look to help shore up that spot in the middle.
Key Returning Players: OH Allie Brock, MB A’Niya Mayweather, MB Nevaeh Damann
